For centuries there has been misunderstanding about iranian's nationality despite of their long history and civilization;here is a general comparison between iranians and arabs :
they are similar to each other a lot for example the important ones are :
- in religion they both are muslims (in iran mostly).
- the countries which they belong to are mainly placed in middle east (regardless of the fact before 17s century most of central asia and even india was a major part of iran's territory) .
- they both witnessed a lot of conflicts and invasions .
- they both have a Totalitarian regimes .
- in western public opinion they both Are known as arabs and regretfully terrorists !
- mustache and beard isn't so voguish and women are not Illiterate and ugly (the fact is in iran the percentage of female students granted and accepted in colleges is somehow twice)
- most of iranian are shiite muslim but arabs are mainly sunni (the difference is like kind of catholics and evangelicals )
- their languages; iranians speak farsi or persian but arabs speak guess what;that's true arabic.
- despite of their same type of government; iranians always proofed that they wont tolerate tyrants and wont be oppressed for long time.
- unlike westerner's knowledge iran's territory consist of not only barren desserts but a lot of fascinating rivers ,lakes, waterfalls and even snowy mountains.
- a few iranians used camels in past not today ; but arabs like them so much and keep using them not for transportation vehicles but for amusement like pets!
- iranian and arabs are not of a same race arabs are arab and iranians are iranian or persian (iran as multicultural society and its rich history; is comprises of different races like azari, Baluchi,kurd,... and beliefs and through out experiences and history iranians learned to team up with each other and live together with great relation and trust.)
- unlike arabs most of iranians are interested in west's culture and ideals but their government do not; unlike arabian's governments.
